Kesariya Dunes Handcrafted Soap Jaisalmer

The festival begins before sunrise. In many homes, the day opens with ubtan — haldi, chandan and besan — and a festive bath at dawn. In Jaisalmer, the Golden City, first light turns the sandstone and the dunes the same gold. Its fragrance follows the ritual: sandalwood, the chandan of ubtan, with saffron — kesar, which gives Kesariya its name. A marigold, the flower of the season, is pressed on top. Packed in its own carton, for your bath or as a small festive gift.
